'Yo Ho Ho and a Bottle of Rum'...

Finally... after almost 2 years... Jack Sparrow is DONE!
I'm so happy about this that he has been hanging out on my desk with me ever since.

In the end, I decided not to add sleeves to the blue vest (although the sleeves have been knitted up for almost all of that 2 years!). I also decided he looked better without the sword belt (also knitted up already). So basically all I had to do was give him his sword and add pockets to the vest (yeah yeah I know, what on earth took me so long to finish then?).

Short answer... 'life got in the way'.

Slightly longer answer... 'Hot summer months and I had a baby. Jack Sparrow had to wait.'

That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it!

So here is Jack's mandatory photo shoot around the house and garden.

All of Jack's clothes are slightly modified patterns (to fit a different doll) from the 'Knitted Pirates, Princesses, Witches, Wizards ad Fairies' book by Annette Hefford.

So now that it's Winter and my daughter is nearly 6 months old... it's time to get knitting again! Wooohoooo! (is it sad that this makes me super excited?). I have lots of projects on the go at the moment and a couple of those are very close to being completed, so I should be posting very soon.

Until then, happy crafting!
